Dissociative Identity Disorder

Dissociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder) is quite often an effect of trauma in early childhood, usually extreme, repeated physical, sexual and / or emotional abuse .
What is dissociative identity disorder?

Most of us have facilitated the dissociation of the way daydreaming or lost at the time at work on a project. However, dissociative identity disorder is a severe form of dissociation, a scholar, including a lack of connection to a person’s thoughts, memories, feelings, actions or identity. Dissociative identity disorder is intended, of trauma, the person with the disease. The dissociative aspect is considered as a management mechanism - the person literally dissociates from a situation or experience, as violence, trauma or painful to assimilate with his own conscience.
